Took granddaughter out in the boat today. No shrimp flags flying so the plan was to anchor up in ICW and have her fish for drum or sand trout with dead shrimp. By the time we got on the water it was already pretty rough so we aborted that idea and stayed close to home. Had her using gulp under a cork.
Here Tori is pulling in her first fish of the day.
Dink trout but a happy girl.
Then came a 17" trout. Teaching her how to handle it.
Winds really started kicking butt so we went in. Had our resident "Eddie" egret waiting for us for dinner.
Tori with her 2 keepers. 17" and 18".
As per her request, she got some fillets for her Friday Lenten dinner.
Had to give kokopelli his treat of trout bellies.
A happy grandma and granddaughter.
And finally finishing the day making cascarones.
