Okay, considering all of the work you have put in on this boat, what will it's value be when you are through? I am asking what is invested in time and all materials; I was just wondering how much money and time it takes to actually build a boat like this.

The thread, task and ability to do it is impressive!! Have you built a boat before? Will you build another after this? What do you do for a living?

I'll have a used motor but a buddy built a similar boat, new 90 hp. 4 stroke and T-top that surveyed for around 40k.

I have worked on this for 2 1/2 yrs. An hour or two in the evenings and full days on the weekend when I can. Most of the supplies came from the same people that the plans came from. I have all the hardware, steering, jackplate, paint and acc. The motor I already have. To date I have about 11 to 12k invested but spread out over time, but this is one of the more challenging build because I added the tunnel and "boxes"(sponsons) on the stern and a larger than average fuel tank too.

I rebuilt an old Baymaster "barge" with lots of help from Keith at Waterman Boat Works off greenwood and saratoga. BUT anyone can build these boats. My wife says NO to another build but probably so. And I can give you the site that supports these builds if you want.

I am surprised that Keith didn't convince you to use coring material to reduce weight, he is moving away from the stuff for a newer version but for a long time that was the stuff for him.

Boat looks awsome, as said by many, can't wait for the finished product.

Keith is still using other composites. But the designer of these boats claims for this size of boat there is no significant gain. Especially for the price of materials.

This hull originally would come in around 800# built by an experienced builder which I wasn't. And I beefed the transom and added the tunnel and sponsons and used about twice the amount of epoxy and cloth. That said I'll guess between 1100 and 1200#. I plan to weight it before all the hardware and motor are installed just to see, then weight it after everything is in.
