The winds sure picked up fast this morning blowing a good 15-20. The lagoon was slick calm all night and early this morning. The tide was about a foot lower so we ran in pretty skinny water. We caught fish in 3', 4', 6'. Fish were scattered and water was really dusty except for around the JFK area. All fish were caught on plastics, pumpkinseed and salt and pepper did the best today. I'm ready for a nappy treat. Here are some pics of my guests today.

James with a nice drum.

Mr.David Plata with a 271/2 red ...caught just after I said " There ought to be a red around here".

Todays catch.....A Grand Slam. Truthfully, the boys out fished me today. Great job guys.

Makes me think of a line from a JJW song: "Pissing in the wind, but it's blowing on all my friends."
Hope that was'nt your case.

Shallowsport, you gonna let that man catch all those fish right out of your yard. Laughing I'm waist deep in broken rods to repair but I sure want to give it one more try over there this year. Hope to see you sometime next week. Wink

I would imagine its about the size of your mouth. HA HA , Just kidding. Trout don't even go in my box unless they make 15 1/2. The drum was a whole whopping 27 inches the same size as the Red they are laying side by side. duh....Merry Christmas flounderdaddy.

IMS would you like to trade a fishing trip in Nueces for one in the Laguna. Only thing I promise is that I can definatly find a spot for you to catch an oyster! Laughing Have a "Merry Christmas", I'm going blue catfishing in the morning. Very Happy

Here is a typical catch from Nueces........NOT! You notice I cut the tail off on the drum in this picture. Saves having to answer silly questions. Laughing
