Is there still fishing available in that area? I have not seen many post on here and have not fished the north beach area in several years. I used to have some good spots to wade in there. Making a trip home this weekend and was thinking of going out and some fishing for specs and drum any advice is appreciated.

The nueces bay side of indian point, where all the salt marsh restoration projects are taking place ver the last few years, is a very popular spot.
There used to be an adult store back there, now its a kayak shop - the yak shack. But that whole area on west side of indian point and the surrounding area of nueces bay is now called Porno Flats by kayakers, and there is good fishing back there.
The deep cuts that were dredged back there to make the spoil islands used for the salt marsh restoratoin have always interested me. Some of cuts between islands are between 6-10 feet deep, and have very muddy bottoms. May be a good spot for winter trout to hang out. _________________ ...if my boss ever finds this forum I'll be unemployed... |

| I think about those spots every time I drive by there. Make sure you post a report if you fish there. |

I have fished the flats to the North of the pier. Had some good luck catching trout. But then that was a long time ago.
Good luck . |

Decent enough to wade back there? Thinking I may just do some wading, dont own a kayak and dont want to pay a guide really. _________________ High On Smoke BBQ
