| I was wondering if anyone knows some decent spots to hunt duck in the ULM. I'm kinda new to the duck hunting scene. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

If you do have a boat, scout out the area the day before (or just hunt!). I usually see a bunch over the shallows/ spoil islands (basically everywhere  ). The first time I went we had good results with a simple decoy set-up and some basic calls. Use natural cover or some sort of blind.

| @ SeanHHH & MakoJJ- I do own a kayak. I just haven't done much scouting and really don't know where to start. And I heard some of the spoil islands in the ULM have signs on then saying they're bird nesting areas/sanctuaries and are off limits, but just never looked into myself. I do have some decoys but not many. I would like to have at least 2 dozen to make a decent spread. And it would be great if I could find a spoil island to post up on. |
