Got to the pier at around 8:30 on Sunday, Whiting were everywhere in the surf and easy to catch so i caught 4 to use for bait, cut the heads off and threw them on lines, I only stayed out for a few hours and all I caught was a small Shark..

that was that for Sunday.

Monday 11-26
Got to the pier at around 8, Whiting were hard to come by and only caught one in the surf then we moved to about 75 yards short of the T and casted out to the left, we used the head of our Whiting on one rod and a Croaker head on another, with his body on our third rod. My Girlfriend got the first hit and we quickly found out that her "$50 Walmart special" was corroded pretty bad so she struggled turning the handle to reel it in. We then pulled it up by hand.

A few minutes later I got a hit using the Crocker head and thanks to a guy letting us use his drop net we landed it.

Then the fishing slowed down for a bit so i threw on a 1/2 ounce Shad rattle trap on one of my bait poles.

let my Girlfriend go throw it under the lights for a bit and she landed a Spec. Trout.

I got in on the action for a bit.

after we messed with that for a bit we got another hit and she landed her first Shark on Whiting head.

after all the action we decided it was about time to pack up and head out and as we were doing so we got another hit and she brought it in all the way and it got wrapped in the pier and the line got cut by the barnacle. It was another Red not quiet as big as the others. That was that for then night, all the fish were released.

My husband and I have been spending alot of time on BHP building memories. Every visit is so different, it's just knowing when to go and not go to avoid the crowds.

Thanks for sharing your fishing techniques with all of us. You and your girlfriend make a cute couple. Laughing
