I am thinking about this old compound bow. Does anyone know anything about it? Or provide any insight? The owner says its a "bear" and the thing where the arrow sets says "cobra". I would appreciate any help! This is all the information I know

WOW!!! That is a classic! I'm no expert and can't really tell a whole lot from the pictures but that bow is probably from the mid to early 70's if I'm not mistaken. It's amazing how far bows have come from those days. I still have one similar to it that. Not sure what else I could tell you about it or that you want to know but thanks for posting it.

How much is it worth...... depends on what you want it for I guess.

As a bow to hunt with very little.

As a collectable or antique I'm not sure but I bet to the right person it would be worth something. I don't think they are very rare or hard to come by though. I'm sure somebody would want it on one of the archery boards.

As a very cool piece of hunting history its priceless!!! I have got lots of old stuff displayed and stored at my house. Some of it is worth a little bit of money and some of it isn't worth much but I wouldn't get rid of it for anything. One day the old Bear bow that I used like this one might make it into the displays at my house. I have my grandfathers old deer hunting stuff plus decoys, old paper shotgun shells with wooden cases, pictures, and lots of other things. Some people my call it junk but to me it's a part of history that I love.

Cant see much but riser looks like a Hoyt Spectra circa 1980 - 1983. Old bows don't carry much value. Good for bow fishing though as very smooth to pull and soft shooting.
