Hunted last weekend and ended up shooting a doe. Shot her at 16 yards, she ran 40 and piled up.



Time to start making jerky!

I had a big bodied buck come in with only about 1" of horn sticking up guess he found out who was the dominant buck. I was tempted to stick him, but not knowing if he was a cull or not I gave him a free pass. He must of just lost his horns that prior evening, because he squared up against a 2.5 year old 8pt, and was about to fight. He gave the smaller buck a grunt/snort and the little guy left.

Congrats on a clean kill. And that's some of the best eating you can get. Those horns are hard eat.
