Hello Everybody. Im going to be in Port Aransas this weekend because the offshore weather conditions are looking picture perfect. The plan is to hit the Mustang Island rigs this time because im going to be by myself, not ease throwing a rig hook and backing away safely with no help. Hoping to pick up some King and maybe a Ling. I normally troll ribbons at a distance and sink porgies to the bottom up close. My question is if i can buy some live piggies before I head out, cut the fins off and sink to the botton up close to the rig would this get the attention of the ling and up the odds of landing a couple. Also going to jig with some snapper slappers if the condition work with me. Thanks for any of the information in advance.

P.S. Now that He who shall not be mentioned went quite I have a hard time getting the nearshore reports I used to base my trips on.
