We are still set to go forward with the tournament on Saturday. Will it rain, probably, but how much is yet to be determined. All I know is the fish don't mind getting wet and in my experience bite like crazy after a brief rain storm.
The tournament meeting at the Yak Shack will be Friday September the 14th from 6pm till 8 pm. The Yak Shack is located off the Indian Point exit going toward Corpus Christi on the access road. If you are traveling north toward Rockport, take the first exit at Moore and loop back around. You can't miss their big blue building right after you exit at Indian Point.

I'll have a few cold drinks and snacks waiting on you, we'll leave the light on!
If you plan on fishing in a different location other than Nueces Bay by the Yak Shack, and will not be able to attend the meeting, please register on-line

This is a walk website that I set up for this event, so register as a walker. YOU MUST LMK IF YOU ARE FISHING A DIFFERENT AREA, SO I CAN CONFIRM YOU READ AND AGREE TO THE RULES IF YOU WON'T BE AT THE REGISTRATION FRIDAY.
Sorry for the shouting, just need to make certain that the information is getting across.
Check out the rules under the tournament page here or on-line on the website provided above.
We have some very nice prizes in store, and as far as how it will be divided out, it all depends on how many people show up. I want to give out as many prizes as possible. We have silent auction items as well including a custom built 9 foot Jawbone surf rod by Bluff Rat, a La Quinta Riverwalk hotel stay in San Antonio, Plano Tackle Box with Kelly Wigglers, Stinky Pants Stringers, and Starbucks gift baskets. We have gift cards from Academy, HEB, Chili's, Sports Clips, Olive Garden, Home Depot.
We will have Starbucks coffee Saturday morning for late registration at 6:30 am. Registration on Saturday is $30 and will end by 11am, lunch will provided from noon till 2pm or when we run out of food, and prizes given out after the weigh in at 2pm. We have gone through a lot of work to get as many items as we have donated, so that you will have an enjoyable day with us, so I hope you come out and join me.

And for the repeat of information, I apologize, I just want to be certain the info is being read and not over looked.

Any questions, pm soon!

Will

I just got word that we are getting yet another great donation:
Ninja from TKF will donate a free entry to RockportYakAttack and also include a kayak fishing package raffle ticket to go along with that entry.
Let's hope the rain pushes it's way through and we have a partly cloudy day with a good chance of catching fish!
Very Happy
Will

GOOD LUCK with the tournament misterwill!!! Hope you have a great turnout. And judging by the temps here in Mertzon today, things should be real comfortable down there by tomorrow! Smile

Thanks BigRock! I love this weather, light showers I can deal with, hope the weather holds because if so we should see some great fish turned in.

We had 25 sign up at the captains meeting, and the weather is shaping up to be a nice day to fish. I hope to see you Saturday morning. We start late registration at 6:30 am at the yak shack. Sign up and go to your destination, and yes to all the questions, you can go to where you want, any bay, just notify us where you will be fishing. Starbucks coffee in the morning, lunch at noon, weigh in at noon till 2, silent auction to follow. Hope you come out and join this worthwhile cause and take part of the action.
