Last Cast

Couldn't ask for a nicer day..... minimal winds, no seaweed present and best of all light crowds Very Happy

Started the day at about 11:30 am with some live shrimp....the pinfish were thick and so were the small jacks devouring the the shrimp as soon as it hit the water... had to change tactics so I cast netted some mullet and shad... and that's when the fun begain! caught one smack close to the rocks with cut mullet and a few undersized trout. Then I started using the shad and caught a nice 28" inch Red fish.... glad it was a slot... would of throw him back.... I didn't want to use my tag so soon.... Then the smacks started back up tearin up the shad... Lost a big boy breaking me off right at the rocks... ended the day with three nice ones. Lots of skippy's and a few small mangrove snappers present..... saw a few Kings being landed at the end as well. finished up when the sun went down .... Get Out there if you have a chance... u won't regret it Very Happy

Nice report thanks for sharing. Nice catch. Gotta make a run and catch some fish, working is getting to be a drag I need a break.

Nice report. You must have showed up right as I was leaving. I lost a monster king on my fly rod and landed a nice smack.
