stopped at about the 6mm for an eve trip, bait was a little hard to come by, but did manage a few large whiting and a bait size pomp. Casted whiting and pomp into a nice 1st gut where my bud jason landed a nice 6' 2" blacktip.....that was the only good fish landed, packed up around midnight. The east winds were pushing the surf way up on to the beach, so driving should continue to be great. Saw afew reds and drum cruising in the wadegut but shrimp was not on their menue. Saw no mullet at all. Wont be long and the surf is gonna be on fire! Cool

The ones i have been catching lately have been around
12" or so....they start to get a little thicker through oct nov.

Aruond dec on those clear, flat, calm days is when i love to pomp fish (pomp window) They will be pushing 4 to 6 lbs nd up to 24"

Pink or orange fishbites tipped with shrimp is the ticket.
