We love it. HEB Plus sells the trip tip roasts in the roast section of the meat counter in both the Bluff and on Saratoga. I was able to buy a USDA Trip Tip roast at the new Walmart but have not seen it since. HEB's are USDA Select.

I was told it was good and tried cooking one. Did something wrong. How about some direction Tyler?

takes about 30 minutes or longer unless you cut it up into steaks. We like to do soy sauce and garlic or teriyaki marinade. Cook it over coals turning every five minutes or so until you get an internal temp of about 130 degrees in the middle for medium rare. The thinner outside parts will be medium.

Love the tri-tip. And yes, overcooking can make it very tough.
