Trailers are not titled anymore, just registered. The boat and the motor are for sure, you aint had fun till you try to straighten out a srewed up title issue.

No title, no buy. You'll be sorry and out the money. TXPW is a heart ache trying to get a title for a boat that dosent have a title, dont walk, run. Spend your money on a boat that you can use.

Just as an FYI, trailers do have titles when registered above a certain GVWR (over 4000 lbs). Most boat trailers are obviously under that, but some of your bigger ones are most likely over that. Just giving a heads up .

As for the info on the boat, get the Hull identification number, and get the serial number from the motor. For a couple bucks TPWD will let you know who the registered owner of each of them is, and if it is stolen it will pop up. IF you can get a hold of the registered owners, things can go pretty easily, done this a few times, and also found a stolen boat this way as well.
