After our trips to MD Anderson I came down with some kind of an infection and the docs could not figure out where it was coming from. And fishinglady came down with nemonia (bad spelling i know). After a week in the hospital the docs decided I was well enough and in went my mediport so now im ready to start chemo. My first chemo will be wednesday at the Coastal Bend Cancer Center. Thanks everyone for your suport and prayers, your all great friends. Very Happy

X2 on staying positive.

4 things to remember in your fight.
1. Medical- Continually research and understand all your treatment options. Monitor results and stay in touch with your medical team. Have someone assist you at Dr appts ect.

2.Nutrition/exercise-Consume a plant-based whole food diet. (if a caveman couldnt get it try to avoid it)
Discover a physical activity that is "fun" & commit to it daily.

3.Attitude-Focus your mind on healing, not the problems of treatment. Become an expert on mind/body connection.

4.Support- Nurture relationships that uplift, put toxic relationships "on hold" and bond with others who are deeply committed to survivorship. Have faith in God.

This is a cancer recovery pyramid that was given to me after I was 1st diagnosed. I have it on my wall as a daily reminder. There is alot more info to read on it and I can give you a copy if youd like. It has helped me bigtime.
Glad your back at home my friend.

I'm glad to hear that your up and rid of that infection. My prayer for you, family, and friends daily. May the LORDS blessing and healing be upon you. I'm hoping that you can get outside and breathe some of that good sea air, and watch the waves come into the sand.
