Believe it or not this is the first time I've turned on my computer in two weeks(been posting from my phone) but here is the results of one of my Dad's and my exploits.

I haven't posted a report in awhile, but with all the political stuff going on maybe I can spark some quality stuff.

In the past few weeks the redfish have been thick in Wilson's. The secret
Is to get behind the secondary islands away from the bay and on the leeward side. I've found about six limits back there in the same spots for about three weeks. I'll have to post pics later when I get back to my puter. Look for passes between the islands and stay off the shoreline about fifty yards

Hope this gets some people on the fish.

Nice Will, thanks for the info. Have you hit the surf or BTB lately? I've got the itch.

Haven't done BTB in a few weeks, my Dad has been going with me and won't paddle offshore. I'm itchy as well, but it will be awhile before I can go BTB. Kids are back in school and time is short. I'll let you know next time I go.

While we are letting out secrets - sardine and shad bait balls have been thick at the ends of packery channel for about a week now. Spanish macks and 10-14" blue runners (maybe bluefish too?) have been eating them pretty much all day/night. If you can cast far enough to get in the school and if you have enough mannolures to lose a few and keep fishing, you should do well. There are also sharpnose sharks feeding in the mix too. Tarpon have also been spotted rolling in there, and kings are being caught on slide lines using live mullet and blue runners. The birds will show you where the bait is. Still no real numbers of mangrove snapper in the rocks.

I was wanting to hit Shamrock area in two weeks, but was worried about the recent vandalism. Has that nonsense subsided?

Find a hiding spot if your wading or kayaking. Follow the trail around the back lakes. Don't leave valuables in your truck.

Would be launching a PB, kinda hard to hide a truck and trailer. When I've launched there before, never had any problems. Just read lotsa posts about thefts there in the last year or so.

we've been launching under the JFK for a while and heading north to the area in question...much safer, but a bit more of a boat ride.
