went down for a few hours on tuesday morning. fished around the 4mm. a bunch of small whiting, several big whiting, a small jack, small pomp and a stingray. never found the big pomps but the water was nice and the weed was all but non-existent.
wish i could have stayed longer. |

Right on man, thanks for the update. How far from the wade gut were you casting? Were you using Breakaway equipment? Thanks.

Thanks for the info.
I was down SBH yesterday and caught whiting and skippies. I had a big hit on cut skippie but no hook up. There were some pony mullet that were moving into the wade gut around 7 or so. I had planned on staying out until dark but my 4 year old was ready to go. I tried Packery before going to the beach and only had small croakers with no drum. I never saw any of the people around me catch anything. I am making a PINS run Saturday or Sunday, I hope. |

i was wading out onto the back side of the first bar and casting over the second bar. there were tons of smaller sized whiting between the the first and second bar. i found the bigger ones and the small pomps and jacks were out past the second bar. there may have been something in my tackle that said breakaway on it... |
