I would concur. The longer pectoral fin and the elongated tab on the operculum (plus the extra large eye) makes this a blue-fish wannabe (although at first glance I did think bluefish). The other major character that makes it different is the spiny first dorsal fin. Compare that to what a bluefish has.
Out of Port A. is a little west of the established range, but the depth is certainly right.
