Water is always flowing through into there. I would imagine its enough to keep the water and fish happy

I saw someone fishing from a yak there yesterday afternoon. Maybe they are not on this forum.

I have fished there once, but only crabs stealing bait. I remember in one of Sike's articles in the Caller Times he mentioned that it holds redfish.

I've fished there about four times and I always catch a bunch of different snappers. I have also caught red and black too. This is the last drum i caught there back in March I think.

FINALLY FISHED IT!!! started off at sunset rd walked the east shore all the way out to the long island in the middle. Never got above knee deep and muddy. poo poo LOAD of fish EVERYWHERE....was thinking probly croaker. NOT A SINGLE BITE! lol

Not sure about recent fishing in Sunset lake, but I do know that back in the '60's a fellow named Jimmy Ray caught an 11 lb flounder in Sunset lake. Coach Moore at Portland printing can confirm this. He may have a picture.
