I am itchin to go fitchin and it looks like there may be light winds this weekend. What do you guys think about a trip down early Saturday (by sunrise) and stay overnight through Monday? Swellinfo looks promising, but wanted the opinion of some of you pros/locals! Is it worth the time and gas money to try to fish the beach right now (weed bad?). Would love to catch reds, topwater trout, whiting, and who knows what else? <*/)))><

more than a few kayakers are planning on fishing this weekend...
i think the surf will settle down, i saw very few weeds yesterday, the water clarity wasn't horrible yesterday and should get better by the weekend...
i think its gonna be a good fishing weekend..
there are a bunch of 6foot male bullsharks in the surf at the moment.
you might want to bring some gear to target them..

The weed is not that bad...Saying that, I live in S.A. I've checked the weather and the swell info and it looks really promising. Trout are thick in the surf and will hit live croaker. I've also had luck with pink artificials.

I say " Go for it". If you pull up to a spot where the fish aren't biting and the weed is bad, ...move camp. You can find some fishable water and the fish are there.

I'll be there, and I had other plans for the weekend. Things are looking too good not to go.
