I fished Shamrock yesterday and struck out. Last night I snapped the ends off both of my rods when I rolled them up in the window of my truck. This morning, my aerator broke and most of my bait died on the way to the bay. So there I was, sitting in my kayak with dead shrimp on the lines of two freshly shortened rods. I caught two undersized trout and two hardheads. I finished up and realized I forgot my towel. On top of that, the tide rose and my truck was sitting in about 8 inches of water. Luckily I got out with no problem.

Yet, the day is marked as a win. I mean come on, I went fishing.

I couldn't believe how quickly the water rose. The truck being stuck may have changed the tone of the day. Help for me isn't too close.

I am sure your truck would have liked for the tide to go higher, then all the metal would be able to soak in the salt. To bad it only went up 8 inches...lol Very Happy

Keep on fishin' on man. I had a slow last month or 2 except for the gig situation. I finally got my limit of reds today along with 2 drum, and 8 trout in the box. Its like Capt. Mike says, if your not having good results, change what your doing!

Oh I'll be back for sure. There's a wealth of information on this site and I'm putting these posts to use. Best thing is, I get to buy new rods!!! My wife is suspicious that I broke them on purpose. Wink

In bad times (and good), keep these words in mind. This too will pass.

I feel your pain man. My regular fishing buddy and I have been having some rough days. Between many Bill Dance moments, losing or spooking so many fish, flipping in the surf, breaking a heavy spinning rod, forgetting things at the dock, etc, we have coined the name "Team Goddamnit" in honor of our most often used phrase.

Your doing better than me. I get to go look at killer dinette sets today with the misses. It should only take 5 hours or so.
