I created this Google Map using David Sikes articles on No-motorboat fishing spots. I did get permission from the Caller Times to post this up. I hope this helps those who like to wade and kayak.

Thanks Aaron for spreading this information to a wider audience. Good job. I'll try to expand the list within a few months. Look for it. By the way, I had help creating this no-motorboat list from folks such as Charlie Ogden (Team Oso) and others. If you have suggestions for future lists, let me know at sikesd@caller.com.

Great, I will be looking forward to it. There are still a few spots I haven't been able to try out from the last list.

+This really helps. I have no clue how to fish the coast or the gulf waters. Have a daughter at TAMCC and want to do some fishing on visits. What is best fishing that can be done from the beach or land/ Canoe? Look forward to seeing you guys down that way.

This is one that is worth creating a pdf to print and carry in the tackle box or upload into a GPS or smart phone so that you can pull it up and follow the well written directions.

Very nice indeed.

Better still is Ray Crawford's book
Wade and Kayak Fishing on the Coastal Bend of Texas. It has spots that some of the locals didn't even know about.

Get it here.

This is still an excellent post. I have been kayak fishing for a few years now (unfortunately mostly freshwater) and have hit some of these spots but didn't know about most of them. I'll be sure to hit the rest ASAP. I've always had the best catch at the 'Shamrock Island, Cove & Lakes' off 361 across from the Sand Piper.

I'll be giving it another shot this weekend. Thanks for the post and good fishing to all...
