H.E.B. had a large school of fish today. Saw several potlickers trying to get in on the action but they were using the wrong bait. Rotton squid is the secret bait. Works well on trout also but only if you are a member of Corpusfishing.com. Hope this helps.

If you are in Calallen then some guys might be able to give you some direction to fishing Nueces...but if you feel like making the drive to the island you can try packery (not jetties) or deadman's behind the methodist church on the way to port a for some decent wade fishing spots.

Fishing has been tough for everyone. It will pick up soon. Some folks get to fish everyday and their reports are better than those of us who don't get to fish everyday. Soon as this brown tide clears up some more my consistancy on the water will also go up and so will my reports. Hang in there.

I waded the area south of Bluffs Landing, aabout 20 min ride, found alot of Reds in the BT about knee deep rigth up against the shoreline - used a gold spoon - that was the only lure that could work in the floating grass.
