Surf in Port Aransas was looking good thru the weekend. Small waves and the surf was fairly green to the beach including the channel. Managed a 19 in trout and a 21 in drum Friday under the lights. Saturday my family caught several bull whiting from the surf. Went back out Saturday night to try and get some trout but the bite wasn't there. Brother in law did manage about a 17in fatty snook on live shrimp though. That was pretty cool. Weed was non existent. Buddy fished the north jetty and said it was slow saturday and sunday. They usually slay the trout, reds, drum and pomps.
On a side note cant wait for shrimp season to open soi can buy from the boats. On another side note i also noticed the 2 jumbo hotdogss are not .99 anymore. They are now 1.19 WTH  . Damn gas prices.. |
