I ran across this article in the Saltwater Angler Magazine this morning, according to Capt Ron, the saviours of the seagrass are at it again.

This is nothing more than a land grab. Hey IMS there goes the neighborhood.

WPP is nothing more than a little "holier than thou" group who are using a "Green? " " Friendly?" message to push their agenda on the rest of the public.

typical "my or the highway" close mindedness of a bunch of "do-gooder" libs who are convinced that THEY know best.

just like the "we're from the goverenment and we want to help you" bunch
who want to limit access to all sorts of places because we're not worthy.

SOOO , I tend to distrust most long-hair, nose ring wearing scientist types who've been corrupeted by liberal tenured profs, all of which never actually WORKED for a living.

never noticed the number, but....
remember back when you could drive across Tx w/ a cold bottle next to the "boys" to keep 'em from heatstroke? most pickups then didnt have a/c.
most folks did OK, but a few messed it up for the rest of us.... same w/ seagrass.

I've finally figured out why liberals don't believe in God: they think they're Him. I'm sure if the "progressive" movement had been around at the time, the world would be teeming with dinosaurs. /s

(figuratively speaking, don't get me started) Evil or Very Mad

Man, you guys are really into this election year. LIFAs, gas prices (both high and low), red snapper seasons, all liberals faults.

I'll go out and say it - I'm blaming Nancy Pelosi for brown tide. There - I said it.

Right to decimate the redfish population??? Or losing their livelihoods, I can see that losing the way you make your living to be a big issue but we would be fishing for bupkiss if the redfish regs weren't changed.

Couldn't have proved that therory during the fish kill, however the laws could have regulated fish catches instead of taking them away completely. Do you see any shortage of Black Drum ? Thats all they fish for now. The dude fisherman is reaping what they sowed. They wanted to get rid of the commercial fisherman, they won no doubt about it. Now the big man is going to shove it up the dudes rear end by taking away their fishing grounds. Ahhhhhh ha ha ha it's a viscious circle. I love it. Very Happy Heck most of the old commercial boys are dead and gone most died poor. Who cares? We got our Redfish.

The commercial fisherman is an era gone by like the old west. The stories are great, the players most of which were kind hearted outlaws, with some thieving bad apples thrown in. It was a small revolution with stories of out running gamewardens in the dark of night, cabins being burned down, boat ramps littered with nails, real fishermen going out in the worst of blowing northers to run nets and bring their catch home. Hard working in the freezing cold in the dark picking fish out of tangled nets hardheads everywere along with other creatures with sharp spines. They were against thousands of the big white man. 125 Texas coast commercial fisherman. It was like the alamo, and many still complain that they can't catch a fish. Question I guess when my genration is buried the stories of the Redfish wars will be buried with us. Now back to the seagrass......Neighbor when was the last time you had a big steaming bowl of seagrass???
