took my tarpon 100 into the bay and flipped and opened the hatches..
it will sink but it is takes allot, i found it was impossible to bail it out while putting my body weight on the yak...glad i went ahead and figured out just how far i can push my yak...
upside down i could get on top of it with both hatches open and the plug open, without it filling up at all really, i had to flip it right side up to sink it, unfortunately i think it would have sunk all the way when i was trying to bail it out
60 foot of water wouldn't be the place to find these things out...
figured there were a few people out there who were curious if you can sink a sit on top kayak thought i would share...

You'll have to try the "canoe" trick. I you put your weight on one end, the one away from your hatch, and sink it the water will start to evacuate out of the yak. Once you get enough air in it to float the hatch, start bailing from the side.

Tarpon100=near perfect design
should have done some re entry while i was at it, it took over 5minutes of it filling with water before it decided it was ready to start goin under(weighed a quarter ton filled with water)
thanks for the advise Skillzzz9 i may try this again some time and try a few different things just to get a little more experience in controlled conditions..

| the bags are designed to fit without compromising all of your storage... they came standard in my old prism... I had it for about 6 years and checked them routinely but only added air a time or two... regardless, its easy to prevent a kayak from sinking if you plan to paddle deep water... |
