Went down to meet Roadkill, and Porkfetus with my friend Mitch who's here for Beach to Bay and found they had gone to Bob Hall to check things out after examining all of the weed in the surf. Lots and lots of sargassum coming in.

The afternoon blow had the surf choppy and tough to fish. Almost impossible even with short rods though I did try for trout with a big He Dog for a while in one deep wade gut with no luck. Waded out to the first bar and got pounded by waves and gave up after about ten plus casts with each falling off the top of the waves and getting caught in sargassum.

As far as fellowship it was a good evening Very Happy

Thanks for the report, I was going to head out around noon but the wife saw this report and told me "no way", lol. Back to the honey-do list. Maybe next weekend that sargassum will calm down a little.

Don't blame me it might be okay today! But I kind of doubt it.

No blame at all, I enjoy every post, good or bad its all informative. Don't feel like battling the weed today. I may still make it out later today, just to take a look. Thanks again.
