I would like nothing more in this life than to come face to face with him in a men's bathroom with no one else around so I could stuff him in a urinal and leave him there for the janitor to find.
Then again...someone might accuse me of leaving a urinal deuce.

OK, let me get this right....you've got some issues with guides that write a free fishing report in a free fishing magazine that you read for free.....so here is a good idea....don't read the free fishing reports in the free fishing magazine and that should solve the issues you may be having with guides trying to increase their business, remember if the guides sells a charter because of a free fishing report that isn't the truth, I really doubt he will stay in business long and his or hers credibility will suck.

| Im pretty sure i have heard of slow reports from the guides in the free publications. Truth is, even on slow days they have to find a way to produce. Thats how they make a living so they gotta be able to find fish at any given time. |

hear this pin drop:
Don't be embellishing in your reports, it's dishonest. Also, I WON'T be reading them anymore, because I don't believe them. |

| Guides have a tough job with having to fish 250 days plus out of the year. Makes it tough with bad weather and fish conditions. These guys have tournaments and shows to attend for customer base. I have had more issues with non experienced boaters running right in front of my drift or anchored fishing. I have a good friend that is a guide and with gas prices high, it makes it tough to earn a living. Look at the cost of boats these days, they are more than most vehicles. He gets a new boat every 2 years. Has a back up boat and the boats run about 60 thousand each. I considered getting my captains license years ago and lets just say its not all just fun fishing, it's a job. I appreciate guides fishing reports and it's all about the experience, family and fellowship. Seeing my little one catch a 29 inch redfish in a tounament for 1st place is priceless. Thank you Capt Mike for your reports and hope you the best for you and your customers. |

Read reports to get general info. "You have to go to know"....so if your frustrated with not catching keep going until you get something working. If your reading free magazine and internet reports consider that everything changes quickly. Guides have to produce fish, therefore in order to stay in business they go, know and catch. Slow for you may be outstanding for them in the same locations they mention. I have never read a guides fishing report that had a GPS location or invited readers to follow him out of the marina so take a report for what it's worth. Read reports on this site and the Salty Angler reports, because they are actually very truthful and helpful. _________________ Grind |

so if a guide writes a report about all this fish that he caught, and you go there and get skunked, does that mean he embellished??
.. or does that mean he's a professional and does it for a living??
kinda like when a customer brings me a car to fix that they "tried" to fix. |
