| I just realized that I've had my hands backwards this whole time. I've had the reel in my right hand and my left closer to the butt of the pole. |

That is a really neat video, especially looking right down on the reel as its running the line out!!!! I have never seen one like that before.
What distances are you all getting? Your casting times and videography are impressive to me?
Thanks for posting this. I would like to see more.

@Tyler yes, it is the GoPro Hero2. It belongs to a buddy of mine but I may pick up one this week. Looking to do lots of cool shots with the camera(s). Maybe even 3D shots with both cameras.
@jonofre81 we mainly practice in San Antonio. We have casting tourneys in Kingsville, Tx and we will actually be on the beach at Fish Pass this Sunday for a little fishing get together.
@dunedawg that is an Abu Ultra Mag II reel. Great real for the field, have never fished with it though. Lol
@Repoman911 LOL, it just depends on what you are comfortable with. I actually have one setup I fish with that has the reel mounted low on the butt section.
@Ray thanks, on the field we have guys casting out roughly between 600 feet and 800 feet. We are using 8-12 lb main line depending on diameter, and 60-80 lb shock leader and throwing 125 gram and 150 gram weight.
@Silver_King thanks man, dumped a little line but not spooled completely! Lol
Hope this helps, and if yall have questions I will be happy to try and answer. Thanks

This is a neat looking camera and it only costs $299.99!!!! There's an imagae of it mounted to the front of a board, but you could do the same with a kayak easily.

And evidently if you buy one, beautiful women will flock around, or at least they did for the guy that had the camera in the adds!
I really hadn't thought about line weight; I use braid, but with lighter line, you can load more . Is lighter weight line easier to cast?
With a 7 foot Ugly Stick and an AVET SX loaded with 60# braid, I am now casting around 150 in practice. I am getting ready to switch to using my 10 foot Harnells and 13 foot Breakaways, which should give me a lot more distance. I am just getting used to using these heavier rods. I've fished for years but with light weight tackle.
