I have my bait handlers license and my bait dealers for piggies... But I was just wondering if anyone out there is gna need some piggies. Im gonna do a trial run on next Monday the 7th of May to see if the piggies are here yet. But I have already heard a few reports from some of my buddies that run traps and it seems like they have shown up already. PM me for more info. ITS SUMMER TIME AND THE FISHIN IS GETTIN HOT !!

They are one of my favorite live baits. Did you make your own traps or do you just use a store bought? I wouldnt mind tossing one out overnight to see if i get lucky and catch some if the store bought ones work. Most folks mistake pins for piggies, dont be fooled a piggie is primo bait imo.

as far as i was aware you do need a license to sell bait, HOWEVER you DONT need a license if you only take donations.

All my piggy perch traps are made in Sea Drift TX by the best piggy perch trap builder in the business, and yes OF COURSE I KNOW what a piggy perch looks like.... come on now brother, Ive been running traps on the side since I was in High School and Im 30 now. I think you can legally run up to 6 traps with out a license but anything over that you have to be licensed up !!!! I run almost 150 traps and I sell to all the local guides and the bait stands.

Hey Rippin, were you able to do a test run? I'm interested in getting some piggies for a trip next week if the weather will lay down a bit. Do you ever get any croaker in your traps? Check your messages - sent you a PM.

I am going to do my test run tomorrow morning, I go off @ 8am from work and I will be off until Thursday !!! I will definitely be selling piggies, dont really get croaker, they are caught in shrimp nets.

Have you got something going w/ the old crabman marina. They are up and running again from what I heard as a launch/bait/rest. etcNo more party boats.

Actually I used to sell to the Crabman, but now that they have new ownership I actually havent met the new owner yet... But I plan to sell to them for sure...

I bait my traps with blue crabs, Im actually about to go set my traps around 1:00 this afternoon... Ill be fishing all weekend, STAR Tournament starts on Saturday !!!!
