I know you can get them in Fulton and that's just a short drive. I picked up 50Lbs last weekend for a boil at my ranch. I got them from P.J. Shrimp Company on 101 Broadway 361-729-7011

A few pics from our boil last Sat...

Well water rinse

My son seeing one for the first time

Man that makes my mouth water. Reminds me of the first time I ever had crawfish. I was on spring break at my roomies house in New Orleans and his parents made 2 trash cans full of them. Crawfish and Dixie beer for Easter.

HEB sells lives ones often like zia mentioned. Never seen any in a bag at heb or walmart.

I like to take my kids to catch them at landa park in NB. The kids have a blast and even better no one else likes to eat them but me. We usually get a good 100-200 each time we go, not bad for a nice snack for me. I just tie on a strip of bacon and add a small weight and we are fishing. Even baby momma gets in on the action. Just thought id share the info in case anyone is in the area and wants to give it a whirl

i worked at a grocery store for 11 years and we never received dead ones. we always got them fresh, live and in large bags where we put them in water to pull out the floaters.

ask to see one of the bags, they are marked with their point of origin. All fish products have the point of origin marked on them.

Nice memories...........................

Back in the 60's we were visiting and older couple that my Mom knew as a kid. They lived in Brenham, and there was a pond or small lake not far away where mom took us fishing to kill the time. The fishing blew, but the dam was covered with big rip rap, and there were GIANT "dads" down in the rocks!!!! We went back to the house and dug up some long kitchen tongs and started grabbing 'dads off the rocks, and then cooked them up and ate like lobsters; dipped in melted butter!!! Shocked

Man, I was hooked!!!!! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

How do you know the live crawfish heb sells come from China? You really thing they can keep them alive for a trip that far? Personally I doubt it.

Hes talking about the frozen crawfish that come in a 5# plastic bag. I usually get these but scoring some live ones sounds much better Cool

That crawfish boil looks good. Watch out for HEB, they have a lot of dead ones and put up a fight when you complain .
