i have a big group coming down to fish next thur-saturday. i looked at the weather and it looks like it going to be windy. we wanted to go to the surf and catch whiting, and fish the peirs at night. would we still be able to catch whitting in the surf in these winds, and if not what other options do we have? thanks for yalls help!

It's too early to tell that far out but unless the current is ripping and the water is off color then you should be able to get a few whiting.

If the surf is blown out, you can always try the pier at Robert's Park in Port Aransas or Charlie's Pasture. You can get sand trout, whiting, some over sized black drum, and maybe some flounder along the bulkhead.

Id check weather reports on wed for the weekend. Alot more accurate (and they still get it way off) to early now.
