what about replacing the plastics with mylar skirts, hootie cotton string or cheap silver spoons and draggin' it thru a school of smaks? that'd bend a bay rod.

Wow it's a whole school of minnows. I'll stick with my single. It is a cool concept but it looks troublesome. I mean how many casts before it gets messed up ?

I already pick up enough grass with my "weedless" jig head Confused ... Looks like it would be fun to try in open water though.

They used this rig to catch hundreds of pounds of bass in lakes with lot's of vegetation!

You might want to try it first, I know I will!

Umbrella rigs have been around a good while, with striper and some tuna fisherman really putting the hurt on the fish.
