|
|
I will move it to Off Topic shortly. My HP Deskjet 5440 has gone Tango Uniform. It is online but won't print. Just gets the orange arrow. You push the orange arrow and it won't feed the paper through. No paper is stuck. I rebooted and reinstalled too with the same results. I know printers are cheap it is the replacement ink that kills you. I don't plan on doing any high end color photographs on my computer. Does anyone have any brand or model they are happy with that they can recommend?
Thanks!

| Try going to your control panel, open device manager, look down the list and see if you have the alert sign on the printer port. You may have to reinstall the drivers for the printer. At least thats what I had to do last year with mine. |

| I've grown to really like the epson line of printers, having had HP for most of my life (in early years having worked there) I tried the epsons and have been pretty impressed with them so far (5 years). |

| HP Office Pro 8500 has been a very good combination all in one printer, economical on the ink cartridges. It is a couple of years old. OK!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| You may just have a faulty ink cartridge. Remove one of the cartridges and see if the light continues to blink. If the red arrow light continues to blink, replace the cartridge and remove the other. If your printer works at this point you'll have to simply purchase a replacement for the faulty one. Hope this helps. |

I recently got HP pro. m1210 mfp after reading reviews.
All in one.
It's a mono tone lazer. Fast good quality and only black ink to buy! |

I have two printers. Only because iPads and the old printer I have won't support printing on it even though it's wireless. Seems HP won't put out upgrade. Go figure. Anyway I have the Officejet 6000 Wireless will print on two sides and works great. Unless you have an iPad. The other one I just got for the iPad was cheap, had some gift cards from Christmas and it only come $4 when all was said and done. It's an HP Photosmart 5510. Works great wireless. Set it up seperate from the house network. If you plan on an iPad or something of that sort plan on a printer that will support what you now have and what you think might have in the future. Hope that helps. _________________ Diplomacy is the art of saying "Nice doggie" until you can find a rock.

| Bought an Epson Workforce 545 about a month ago. It's wireless. We can print from Iphone, Ipad, wife's computer etc etc. It's the best printer I've had to date. It scans & faxes too but never use the fax. Makes great prints of photos too. Haven't bought ink yet, probably expensive but cheap cartridges are pretty easy to find on the internet. |

I use an HP LaserJet for my B&W printing. I have the discontinued P1006 model. Here are the new ones:

I use a Canon iP2702 for color printing.
If you print from an iPad or other iDevice make sure it is AirPrint capable.

I do IT in theOil Field ....we have gone to all Brother Printers. They seem to give us the fewset problem. and you dont want a 3 am service call that you have to drive 3 hours just to get there for a printer. I have MFC 5895 CW at the house that I use for printing pictures makes a realy nice print up to 11x17 _________________
