woke up and took the kiddo to school. when i got back i went out in the new yak into the fog. i fished the flats for a while only hooking one trout turned out to be the only keeper i would hook all day, when i let him go i realized the heavy equipment making noise (next to the crane on Caribbean street) wasn't coming from where i thought land was...basically one fish turned me around, that fog was confusing
i went and fished channels from there i really got on the little trout i hooked over 50!
caught around 20 on gulp natural color 3inch(2/0 owner j hook through the tail or nose)
another 20 on TTF killer flats minnow
about 10 on tequila gold Norton sand eel jr.
and about another 10 on DOA shrimp in different colors

I ended up really far from home as the fog stated clearing. I launched a DOA across the channel waited for about 10 seconds then started the slowest retrieve i could...when i set the hook i knew this was no trout. for a brief second i though i had bottom, but then this 21inch flounder started fighting.

I took this pic then fought it for a while longer he ended up going crazy, splashing/biting giving line cuts....it was COOL

sorry bad pic u can see the flounder in my glasses lol i took him home, I might have to take the family out to see if we can get a keeper trout to cook up with him Cool

Definitely an extremely foggy morning. Nice flounder = good eats. It's nice to take home a few fish, but catching that many sure is fun. Kudos Smile

my daughter and i just got back in from fishin, i fished a DOA shrimp she used her TTF minnow, we managed to land about 10 trout between the two of us a couple of them were 14inchers. i took the camera but something is screwy with it and it wouldn't take pics. sucks because the sky was really pretty i wanted a sunset shot...
We ate the flounder it was really good and it was plenty for us Cool

The fog is very tricky, even the sounds seem to come from different directions.
