I was just eating supper and clicked on "in Fisherman" and I'll be damned if Doug Stange wasn't catching smallmouth bass on a popping cork and a shrimp.......................................... something that I've thought of trying for years now for largemouths and just never got around to it!!!!! 
He was using something really similar to a Cajun Thunder rig with some sort of plastic shrimp suspended below and wearing out the brownies!!!!!

| I've been wearing out the specks with that same rig lately. Using a real light jighead with a glow white plastic shrimp about 3-4' under a Cajun Thunder type cork. |
