The hunting so far this season has been nothing short of epic! Bird numbers are up accross the board and the birds are certainly here in South Texas with more arriving every day! I have hunted or had clients about 3-5 days per week prior to the split with limits of birds being the norm! There are large concentrations of several species in the area. If you are a wateerfowl hunter and havent been out this season you are missing out! If you are new to the area or want to give waterfowl hunting a try this is the year to do it! I do recomend you go with a friend who is familiar with the are and identifying birds or contact one of the experienced waterfowl guides in the area to put you on the birds and keep you out of trouble with Mr./Mrs. Warden. Remember the seaon is closed now until the second weekend in Dec! I promise to keep more up to date with posts and bird reports in the second half of the season! Here are a few pics from recent hunts and Blast and Cast trips.

| That Bufflehead looks pretty sick! How old is your dog? I hunted Wilsons Cut/Shamrock a few years ago and met a Cody out there with what was then just a little pup. I had my Chocolate Lab Dutch with me. Not sure if its just a coincidence or if you are the same Cody? |
