that's a lot of rods Very Happy what's the bed set-up for?

Thats a rod platform that folds up. Park parralell to water keeps shark lines up high.

ahh, very cool.

fsaenz: nice, how does it do on the sand? will be in the market for a new four-door truck soon and am a ford/toyota guy. i'd like to go w/a smaller truck (tacoma, for example) for increased mileage over a larger truck.
Does real well 4 wheeling (short wheelbase) always had ford trucks also but couldnt pass up deal on this dodge. Only paid 4k for it from the original owner. Does drink alot of gas (v8 with 33in tires) but I dont drive it daily, just a fishing truck. Perfect for me.

blackened,

I don't have any inside pics right now but it has the basic stuff like dinette area, kitchen with stove and oven, inside bathroom with shower inside and outside, hot and cold water, full size queensize bed and AC with I get a genarator. I have a tv that needs to be mounted. Working on it. Just enough to make a weekend on the beach bearable. Some one has to rough it so I decided to do my best.

See you on the beach
Cliff

I have not had any problems on the beach even all the way down to the Jetties. I did lift the truck some and have 285's and still drive down the same...

I have two trucks, and they are both Ford diesels. IMHO, the only way to roll.

"Red Roof Inn" a few years ago.

"El Pepe" a couple months ago.

El Pepe is one nice beach rig! I thought I seen the Red Roof Inn south of BH a few weeks ago with a babe laying out on the platform?

RRI has been out of commission for a while, thus El Pepe was born, but the RRI is getting a overhaul soon. Cool

And for something completely different.......

http://wildernesssystems.ning.com/profiles/blogs/this-is-how-i-roll-200-miles

I live in Leander northwest of Austin. I have 216 miles from my driveway to my most common launch. I had a 4wd Dodge Dakota Quad Cab that I loved but the gas mileage at 12-13mpg was killing me. So I looked around for something that would hold my 6'4" - 225# frame and found that the Scion xB fit me. I can't complain either. It is comfortable with plaenty of leg and head room, it gets 22mpg pulling my trailer loaded with kayaks, it pulls the trailer likes its not even there, and I get 28mpg on the highway without the trailer.

Now I can no longer do PINS and I lost access to a few of my more remote launch sites, but I can afford to go much more often!!!!!! I can do a 3 day coastal fishing trip covering 500-600 miles on less than $80 of fuel!!!!!!!!!!! I am actually very pleased with it.

that xB is different, but cool! sucks losing access to PINS but you're right, can't beat great gas mileage! that's exactly why I'm considering a mid-size pick-up over a full-size for my next one. thanks for posting.
