We decided to brave the red tide this weekend and do some fishin. We stopped at the 40mm Friday night and camped. Woke up sat am and on my second cast landed a 38 in bull red. Dead shrimp for bait. Not another bite through sunday morning!

We did take some jacks out for shark Sat pm and did land a 6 foot bull shark at sunrise Sunday. It was released in good condition.

The conditions were pretty good. Water very clear and calm sunday and a little rougher on saturday. A decent amount of dead fish on the beach but very few if any new ones rolling in. MANY MANY dead bull reds from the 30's to 50's. Lots of birds working offshore and one HUGE flock even came close to shore but nothing hit our lures when we casted into them.

All in all a good weekend with no red tide aerosols Sunday and very little Saturday but there were just no fish around. Not even hardheads biting.

Just working the law of averages, and this hopefully is the lowest catch of any trips. Thanks for the report.
