| This is my first post, but I can't resist. Wife and I went to south packery this morning, starting about 10am. There was no visible red tide and no aerosols to irritate. A few people fishing, not seeing much come up. Lot's of bait in the water, the water was very clear almost like a lake with no real wave action or wind. We tried on the south side of the jetty (guess this would be the beachside, no luck, no hits) saw one red taken at the point but other than that, nothing. Moved to the channel side, free lining mullet, and they started hitting us. One after the other, we ended up leaving about 3 or so with 14 keep trout (largest one was 22) and 4 keeper smacks (largest one was 24"). Had a great day, the weather was awesome, the fishing was awesome. |

Great first post. You know that each time you post your catch it has to be a better catch over your last post. Well at least we can dream it works that way. _________________ "OVER A MILLION SPECIES ON THIS PLANET AND HUMANS ARE THE ONLY ONE THAT CREATES GARBAGE" |

| Some friends and i fished packery today. Bite was erratic on artis and live mullet but managed to scratch out a limit with perseverance. No signs of red tide and nice water clarity to cast to wandering pods of slot reds. Hitting it hard in the morning and will post how it goes tomorrow night. |

| Tough day today we smell a little skunky. Caught a few rat reds and dink specks. Maybe tomorrow will be better. |

Wow, Love these pics...I bet that was exactly what we got into...it was very cool in any case. Went out today 10/22...couldn't find the bait (very little mullet) and didn't see anything caught...we were there from about 5-6:30. The red tide aerosols were really affecting us, coughing, sneezing...it was terrible. Saw a guy with a medical spray mask, a little blue one...he said it worked very well to prevent all the irritation issues. Seems like a pretty good idea. |
