Well got sum rain,finally! Stayed in and did HoneyDo's...
Decided if I cant fish then I'll cook!

Great looking chile rellenos!

Some regional variations I've run across:
-fried egg served on top
-chile fried "naked" and crepe-like fried batter folded on top

I prefer your way toyak. Very Happy

Yes, that's my mom's recipe, thx!
But, if you ever get the chance try the ones at Chuy's restaurant in San Antonio or Austin, also try Portlands restaurant called Pepitos, theirs has the shredded beef, yumm!

I can attest to Peppito's version of a relleno being outstanding plus it is as big around as a baseball bat... Big enough for two.Of course the restaurant was a BBQ place before Pepitos and they had some killer BBq also.....
