Didn't think i was going to spend all day out fishing today but it happen.
Met a couple of brothers from san antonio and laredo and they hung out the rest of the day fishing with us,fishing and just shooting the breeze.
Baits used live mullet and piggies fished on the bottom.
Heres a few pics of the day with some other people fishing close by me and my friends daughter catching a slot red.
Gene gallegos from San Antonio
Thats it ,Good luck fishing and see ya on the water. _________________ ''ONE LAST CAST''

| Hey Surfdragon.. Thanks for sparing us the pictures of the ride home this time.. We all see your kind of fishing.. And exactly where you fish.. Especially the exciting ride to and from the Island.. I know this impresses all of your friends, cousins, and brothers.. Its the time of year and EVERYONE is pulling in reds.. Obviously you're very friendly and don't mind squeezing into the same spot at Packery, sometimes it seems ten feet from some other party.. Mister you're a better man than I.. |

Many Thanks for another great report and group of pictures. I am jealous as hell that me and the wife can't be down there enjoying the party! Looks like everyone was having fun and I didn't read any where in the report about anyone getting butt hurt because of all the folks around. Looked like everyone around you guys were having a good time also.
In spite of some folks attitude, keep posting the pics, I enjoy remembering what the place looks like. _________________ It is impossible to speak in a manner where you can not be misunderstood. |

Thanks for the report! I enjoy EVERY one of your pictures!!! I think it's great the way you tell the whole story! I live a couple hundred miles away so its a good fix for me.
Not sure what the earlier posters problem is??? I think he stated the obvious in his last sentence though
"Mister you're a better man than I.."
Keep those reports coming!!! |

Your a blessed man Surfdragon, with friends and family to hang with! You bless us guys like Deputydawg and myself who don't get to enjoy the sights and the fishing very often. Like Flatzstalker said, the excitement doesn't go way. Quite often in your coming and going pics, I see a spot that I caught a decent fish or some other memory gets brought back to the front of the think box. I really do appreciate the community attitude you bring to your posts...friends, family, fellow fishermen sharing the jetties or pass, the places that make the memories. Keep'em coming! |

if EVERYONE is catching Reds how come i didnt get one this weekend??!! that was my goal too! I did get me a limit of surf trout though, so i guess i cant be too down on myself. A handful of reds were caught just not by me also in the surf. BTW, SD we were doing the "same kind of fishing" just in PA. As always great pics, thanks for sharing and keep them coming. |

Ah well, I'd rather eat trout but rather catch reds. Seeing that you're all down there doing it and I'm a minimum of about 7.5 - 8 hours from ANY saltwater, you all have something to be very thankful for!!! _________________ Dave

| Yes, SurfDragon is a blessed man and obviously an artist when he tries to convey a story with his pictures.. His sense of community is unmatched, especially when he brings his entire community out to the same Packery spot.. He's got Sheka and Mendeleski jealous with those pics.. Obviously it seems out of towners love the pics.. I just have trouble scrolling through posts and 90percent of them say "nice pics", or "nice report." I just cant post the same "good ole boy" crap that other people seem to only post.. Make your posts count boys.. Go fishing, post a report.. Out of towners.. Make a local blog and post where you fish.. Don't just post one line agreeing with somebody! This is mine and SurfDragon's backyard.. Just giving locals a hard time.. I dish it and can take it.. Its not boring.. I know people out there enjoy it.. |
