So i got a call from a friend of a friend that hears i slay some fish...

he had been skunked his past couple of trips yakking around baffin and he wanted me to meet him and put him on some fish so i figured why not im always looking for company

hit the water around 6 was at the spot at 635 full moon was shining bright =)

it was a bit windier but died down...

we got to our farthest point and decided to pole all the way down the shoreline

the little wind there way made tiny ripples that pretty much had any crimson back blending in...i used my super vision to spot about 10 or 12 reds down the first part of the shoreline, had my buddy cast directed him what to do since he never sightcasted before or seen a tailing red or crawler

but for some reason they WOULD NOT hit his gulp..never happend before =/

at least we had a great sunrise

couple of these little guys around glad i wear my pants =)

hit the second part of our paddle and he had another one spook on him it took off for deeper water i threw in front of the wake just for the hell of it and BAM fish on...

i threw it back and he asked to keep anymore for a fish fry so i said ok why not =)

we had about 200 yards of shoreline left but i know this is where the fish will be stacked up with the light wind

but i did have my doubts and started thinking of ways to say "sorry im pretty cursed"

we pole around my muddy grounds with nothing to see =/

then out of the corner of my eye i see a bit of back..then another..and another..

i tell him to set up and well both throw our gulps...BAM..ZZZBAMZZZ!!!

double hook up...

i throw mine on the stringer and tell him "watch it here comes some more"

sure enough 3 more reds come cruising down the shore line...cast out..BAM ZZ BAMZZZZZZ

another double...we poled 50 yards close to the shoreline hooking up on reds just about every single cast then turned and poled the 50 yards back a little farther from the shoreline to cover the whole area

in that short time we hit a total of 16 redfish

8 a piece

i had nothing but slots but my buddy hit 2 oversize a fat 33 and a fatter 38 he said they looked small in the water hahaha

all pictures from today were taken on his camera so i dont have them to post

was a great day on the water and i weirdly enough enjoyed trying to direct my client on how to set up and catch then fishing myself

dont think ive ever seen a bigger smile on a grown man hahaha

ill be off the water for a bit now with drum maxed out and winds not glassy in the mornings for this week

Quick notes....jet the reel i got from you finally gave up on me =/ thanks again buddy caught all my first fish on lures ever with that reel

and when we got back to launch a MASSIVE school of black drum were rooting through grass some people had just shown up i waved em down

Me: wanna catch some drum
THem: thats what were after
Me: just park and throw right where i am

in the 10 minutes it took us to put up they almost had a limit for 4 people...18 i think they had and everyone was hooked up while i was driving away
