Hello South Texas Emergency Managers, Media Partners, and Spotters,

Quick Update - Tide levels are running about 1 foot above normal along the mid Texas coast due to increasing swells and northeast winds.

The period of waves at the closest buoy is up around 8 seconds, so that's some healthy swell (and it jumped up to 5 feet). So if all this storm does is run the water to the dunes, it's not a complete loss. At least the 'powered sugar' sands will get packed down and the beach driving won't be so bad.....

Will the high water still be around by Monday morning or will it have subsided much?
