And while you're down there, regardless of who brought you there, think very carefully about how to make sure your kids can get down there too.

Strange politics going on down that beach.

Nice. I often wonder just how many folks feel like the peace of that place saved them from some disaster of life. I know I sure spent many a day there after my divorce and have always felt it gave me sanity back. Now when I begin to get stressed I just pack the truck and head south and I always come back in my right mind. I share it with my daughter and the soon to be wife and have often thought if she didn't love it as much as I, she wouldn't be the soon to be. The place is home in more ways than home is to me.

No place in the world can soothe and heal the way the beach can. It starts with joy the minute I see the first seagull (& the *light*- the way the very air looks) and even though it's wistful & sad, ends with such contentment & satisfaction.
