|
|
| My new mold to make Mann-O-Lure type casting jigs should be here this week. What are the BEST COLORS to paint these lures?? I have a good selection of heat activated powder paints. Do they or would they do well with the holographic tape applied to the lure?? I have big red 3-D eyes to put on them too. |

flashy/silver always seems to work best. how much will you be selling them for? or are you interested in trade some lures 50/50 on some lead?

| Silver or chartreuse. Both work fine for me. |

| For pier fishing you can't beat the 1 oz smooth SILVER, but the dimpled silver works nearly as well. I've caught pompano with the chartruese ones. |

silver ones. i like the dimpled. smacks love em. can also hit bluefish, skippys, and even up to jacks and kings. I add 6 inches of wire with a swivel to mine fur the toothy ones. _________________ Eagles may soar...but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines. |

I've caught just about evrything that swims at BH pier with the 1 oz silver Mannolure. I've hooked tarpon(never landed), kings, one cobia, Sp. macs, pompano, black drum, many many reds, specks, sand trout, blue fish, and whiting. For some species you bounce it up and down off the bottom, just reel it in with stops and starts, or just twitch it along the bottom. It's the best lure ever invented for inshore saltwater, in my opinion. I use only copper colored 27-30# copper colored wire(steelon type) if I use wire instead of 50# clear mono for a leader. Hope this helps you out. |
