In your opinion, what type of fish should I use for home made fish tacos? I plan to go all out and make my own tortillas and sauce to go on it. Would you recommend frying such as SurfinSapo has done, or grilling?
This is the plan I have for the sauce thats going to go on them.
Sour Cream
Avacado
Lime
Cilantro
Garlic
Fresh Jalapenos
I plan to blend all of that up. Anything else I should use or substitute for?
Thanks in advance,
Zack

Fried is hard to beat, unless you are trying to go the healthy route. I like a little mayo and chili powder in the sauce. Watch the garlic, especially if its raw.

try grilled smackerals, too. just oil, garlic powder and S&P over hot coals
little shredded cabbage, green salsa, cilantro and squeeze o' lime. warm corn tortillas.
simple and fast.
I've grilled the smaks flesh down for a minute, then skin down on covered grill till it flakes ...
have all the fixin's ready and build yer tacos ...
if you scald the tortillas in a little hot oil in a skillet, they tend to not tear apart as easy... drain on paper towels
if you just warm them on the grill, double them up.
good with cold orange sodas

When you get a bit older, these tacos also go good with yellow sodas. Laughing

Are you referring to a beer? And I bet. But actually, I made the tacos sunday night and Im not sure what was wrong but it wasnt what I expected. I made the sauce, my own tortillas and fried the mahi mahi with the mccormicks beer batter. i topped it with red cabbage and my parents thought it was great, I however thought everything was salty. I think my tastebuds may have been off.
