Got a late start, some of my fellow fishing buddies had a problem with the whole time change thing. Finally got onto the water just as the sun cracke the horizon. Wind was blowing up a few whitecaps on the bay and the water was quite murky. We did have some luck early with live shrimp on the botom for some decent sized Black Drum. Caught a ton of dink trout. Bite turned off about 10:30 so we decided to shoot over to Yarbourough to try our luck on the reds. Caught a few undersized reds and a couple keeper trout on the back side of the spoils. All in all it was a good day, skipjacks(saving those for tha beach later), dinks and hardheads kept the minutes between bites short. Look forward to getting out again soon.
On a side note, while cleaning the drum a buddy of mine said that there is a part of the guts that is really good to eat. Anybody know what he is talking about and what it tastes like? _________________ You can get much farther with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone.

Bourbonater, I am sure you have been handed a line of BS before, and me thinks your buddy is handing out some FS, but I have been wrong before. _________________ Off Shore Port Mansfield |

No, he was serious. The guy that runs Billings bait stand agreed with him. He said they are best in the bigger drum and they have the consistency of steak. _________________ You can get much farther with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone.
