Caught me a nice trout Friday evening that I plan on putting on the wall. I was lucky enough to catch the 8lb14oz beauty north of the bridge so I am currently 1st place in mid coast star trout. My question is who do yall recommend for the mount. I will be doing a skin mount and don't care how long the turn around is I just want it done right. Thanks fellas.

Bob Francis Gulf Coast Taxidermy. In my opinion how I rate the taxidermy is on the painting of the skin mount. One word of advice make sure that you stress to the taxidermy that you want him personal to doing the all work and not send it off somewhere else to prepare the mount. Now a days I believe they send the fish out to prepare and then they bring it back do the taxidermy to paint and finish.

Al creatures marti. He already has my 22 pound snapper mounted in under a month..... Skin mount he did on site. Expect to pay something like $13-15 an inch he does great work. Just go to his shop and look at his show room.

I do not know the other guys and there work may also be great but I can only speak of his work.

FOr a Trophy Trout Skin Mount there is Only 1 Man and That is John Glenn, he has a wait but you get a fish that looks like it is going to swim off when he is done with it. He does awesome work but he has a wait.

I have 13 mounts in my house. John Glenn did all but 5. I regret not having John do them all. I have one trout done by Bob Francis. I'm not happy with the mount or the paint job. John Glenn will be repainting it in the near future.
