I changed the plugs on my Johnson 8.0hp boat motor yet it stll seems to miss here and there. Sometimes it will shut off all together and then is fine once I get it going again.
Any suggestions on a reasonably priced boat mechanic?
Thanks in advance...

| Before you take it to a mech. I'd check for water in the fuel then put a kit in the carb. after that if it still missed,(or before the carb kit) start wiggling wires to see if you have a bad connection or broken wire. There's not much to go wrong with those older engines. Also a spark check will tell about the health of the system too. D. |

Thanks Uncle D.
Any pointers help. The engine is solid.
I'm trying to get to know the engine better.
Although the motor is 16 years old, all the componets look really good as seen on the pics. _________________ "Do not call my Jeep a Car ever again " |
